The Doghouse Food and Fun Zone

 

Many of you have asked us for a "Slaw Dog".  Now that is all well and good and we are happy to help you out, but that is where the description ends.  So, we have eaten our way across this great land of our in search of the one, the only, definitive slaw dog.  Would you like to know what the results are?  THERE ISN'T ONE!  In fact, one of our chefs was hospitalized for over indulging in one he particularly liked, so we thought to ourselves that this one might be a winner.

 

The Doghouse and Doghouse Labs is quite pleased to introduce what we would like to call; "The Rensselaer Slaw Dog".  Now hold on to your seats kids.  This is gonna' sound a little kooky at first, but I promise you, it tastes absolutely fantastic!  Now a lot of slaw dogs have the hot dog and bun, of course, then they add mustard, chili & some kind of slaw.  It tastes pretty good, but we felt that we could do it one better.  Now you can have a "regular" slaw dog and we will be happy to serve it to you that way, but you can have The One, The Only, The Absolutely and simply AMAZING ... Rensselaer Slaw Dog (or a slaw burger to boot!).  We take everything from the "traditional" slaw dog and have found that if we add a strip of crispy bacon along the side,  we get something that not only screams "HEY!  You in PORK COUNTRY baby" but tastes really, really good too.
