 Summertime is here and we are out and about bringing Devon's Doghouse to you.
If you haven't already noticed, we are sending our carts out to bring quality to food to the masses both downtown for lunch and to Brookside Park for the afternoon and into the evening. Through the great generosity of Steve Roberts and everyone at Charlie Roberts Chevrolet / Buick, we have a home downtown. We are there from 11 AM to 1 PM, Monday through Friday, WEATHER PERMITTING. After we close up there, we come back, re-stock and head off to Brookside Park and Larue Pool right here in Rensselaer. Again, WEATHER PERMITTING, we are there until about 7 PM. On the carts, we have: - Hot Dogs and Polish Sausage
- Burgers (limited supply - sorry)
- Ice Cream and Pops
- Frito Lay Chips
- Canned Pepsi products (lunch only, not available at the parks - sorry)
To find us, all you have to do is look for the big RED & YELLOW Vienna Beef umbrella! |

Things are moving right along here at the Doghouse. We are done with June and the drumbeat of summer continues! Here are a couple of things we have in store for you this summer ...
July ... - We are still downtown at Charlie Roberts Brookside and will be all summer long, so get used to it. We are not going anywhere!
- July 5th, CRUISE NIGHT! Join us as we close the lot and have a great time. This year we welcome THREE FISH AND A LOAF for music and phun.
- The Jasper county Fair runs from July 12 to 18, 2008. Our operating hours for that week are as follows: every day we will open at 10:30 AM and close at 7:00 PM. We do NOT have a booth at the fair this year but we are giving it serious thought for next year. We need to get all of our ducks in a row with running the hot dog carts first before we take on a new challenge.
- Drive-In Night on Saturday July 26th. Hey, I told you we would do it almost every last Saturday!
August ... Summer is coming to a close ... - Still at Charlie Roberts and Brookside. This is becoming a habit for us.
- Drive-In Night on Saturday August 30th. As a special treat, we are welcoming The N3RDS for live music as an end of summer treat.
